TSAOSHIN

I did the Runamuck Festival again this year with a few friends.  We were entered in the costume couples race which started around noon and the temperature was around 90F (perfect for a mud race).  My partner and I went as the Tortoise and the Hare and our other team went as the Run Away Brides.  They actually went to the thrift store and bought wedding dresses!

I shouldn’t have run in those sandals.  I had all sorts of lake garbage under my arches by the time we finished.

There were a number of obstacles on the course like walls, crawls and things like this wacky balloon thing:

At the very end, there was this deep murky mud pit that you were forced to crawl through.  If you weren’t muddy by that point, you came out completely covered.  We saw a lot of people belly flop into the pit.  The brides are crawling through in this photo:
